Welcome to Beardtastic Recipes first Traffic Report!
These reports serve two purposes. First, it’s a behind the scenes look at how Beardtastic Recipes is progressing from month to month. Secondly, it’s a way to keep me focused knowing at the end of every month I will have to report my progress.
This month I decided to take a step back from content creation and completely focus on my Pinterest presence. The lack of substantial traffic since starting the site over 6 months ago was the main driving factor for this decision. I knew social media could give me the boast I needed, but I wanted to focus my attention on tackling only one of these platforms for now.
These are the areas I focused on:
- Long Pins – They are a clever way to take up more real estate on Pinterest by making a vertical collage of images and text overlay. I created a template in photoshop so it is quick and easy to generate long pins.
- Social Media Buttons – These buttons allow visitors to easily share recipes on their social media.
- Increased Pinning – I made sure to pin at least 10-20 times a day with a mixture of other bloggers content. By using Tailwind, I was able to schedule out all of my pins for the week by spending an hour on the weekend.
- Group Boards – They are the holy grail of Pinterest. By joining group boards, you can increase the exposure of your pins by leveraging their followers. You can find group boards in your niche by searching on PinGroupie.
The results were amazing!
The site received 1700 pageviews this month, which was way more than all the previous months combined.
It’s insane to think that these results came from just focusing on Pinterest for a month.
