- Place your eggs in a pot and fill with cold water until eggs are covered by 1 inch of water. Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once it reaches a boil, cover and remove from heat. Let eggs sit in the water for 8 to 10 minutes.
- In the meantime prepare an ice bath. Use a ladle to transfer the eggs to an ice bath in order to halt the cooking process.
