Welcome to Beardtastic Recipes Traffic Report for April!
April had a nice jump in traffic, a 63% increase in pageviews from last month’s report to be exact. If this trend continues from month to month, then I will be one happy food blogger!
Pinterest still seems to be the workhorse bringing in all of the traffic. Every month Pinterest is driving more and more traffic to the site and I wanted to dig a little deeper into the inner workings of how Pinterest chooses the content it shows. It is not surprising that Pinterest is very secretive about its search algorithm. But a lot of people through trial and error have hypothesized that Pinterest values users who post quality content on a regular basis. Sounds too simple, right? But it makes sense because Pinterest wants to be a place where people can visually search for content that meets their needs.
Also this month I signed up to go to the International Food Bloggers Conference. The conference will be from September 29th – October 1st and take place in beautiful Sacramento, Californa. Who wouldn’t want to go to a conference that is focused on food and technology? I am looking forward to learning some new techniques and networking with some fellow Food Bloggers.
