Green smoothies and I have a love/hate relationship. I know it’s packed with the essential minerals and vitamins I need. But if given the choice of some crispy fried chicken or some green swamp ooze, what would you choose? Yeah, there is a reason Popeyes doesn’t have a 3 piece kale box…
I will admit there is something magical about having a nutrition packed smoothie first thing in the morning. Call it insurance, in case you do end up getting that 3 piece box from Popeyes or some after work margaritas!
What really makes this smoothie tolerable is the pomegranate juice. The sweetness of the juice helps masks the bitterness of the kale. If you keep the core combo of kale and pomegranate juice, then you can’t go wrong! Don’t be afraid to swap out the banana, strawberries, or flaxseeds for something more to your liking.
